I HEARD THE VOICE OF JESUS
I heard the voice of Jesus say: «Come unto Me and rest

I came to Jesus as I was, weary and worn and sad
I found in Him a resting place and He has made me glad
I heard the voice of Jesus say: «Behold, I freely give
the living water, thirsty one, stoop down and drink and live»
I came to Jesus and I drank, of that life giving stream

I heard the voice of Jesus say: «Go out, tell everyone
that I shead My blood for you to live
and I rose to make you strong»
So I went out on His command, on the Gospel Road
:|: Some just wouldn’t listen, but others received
the cleansing power of His blood :|:
Now, please listen carefully to what the Lord wants to say:

THE GREAT PROMISE

Denne sangen, som jeg skrev desember 1990, var min bryllupsgave til Brita («Debbie»).
Vi ble gift 11. januar 1991 (et drøyt halvår etter at jeg var gal nok til å «fri fra scratch») og vi var lykkelig gift i 19 år. Hun fødte meg fire nydelige barn og var min store helt i livet. Brita døde 14. februar 2010 etter 4 års tapper kamp mot kreften. Nå hviler hun i Faderens favn og vil for alltid leve videre i våre hjerter! Fred og velsignelse over hennes gode minne!)
